CD Castellón launch second reserve team to play in Tercera FFCV from 2026/27 | OneFootball

CD Castellón have launched a second reserve side, CD Castellón C, which will begin in 2026/27 in Tercera FFCV, the lowest tier of federated football in the Comunitat Valenciana. The move expands the club’s pathway for academy players.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the new team will operate within the senior set-up and is designed to widen development options and ease internal progression.

From this season Castellón will field two reserve teams alongside their youth ranks. Castellón B will play in Group II of Segunda Federación after taking the place vacated by Tarazona.

The intention is for Castellón C to provide a first senior step for many academy graduates in a more competitive, fully federated environment. The addition could be key to improving the transition between youth categories and higher levels.

The project is presented under the motto “Todo empieza aquí”, underlining its role in identifying, coaching and promoting homegrown talent for the club’s future.
