CD Castellón seal Jari Vlak signing, fee and bonuses revealed | OneFootball

CD Castellón have completed the signing of Jari Vlak from ADO Den Haag, the Dutch midfielder agreeing a deal to June 2029.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the transfer is 500,000 euros with up to 100,000 euros in add-ons linked to appearances and a possible promotion to Primera División.

Born in Volendam in 1998, Vlak will turn 28 in August. The 1.91-metre midfielder has played his entire career in the Netherlands, featuring for FC Volendam from 2018 to 2021, FC Emmen from 2021 to 2024, then the last two and a half seasons at ADO Den Haag, where he had a year left on his contract.

Able to operate as a holding or central midfielder, Vlak has hit double figures in each of the past two campaigns. He scored 10 goals with four assists in 2024/25, then 11 goals and seven assists in 2025/26, finishing with promotion and the division’s MVP award.

His arrival bolsters Castellón’s midfield after Beñat Gerenabarrena returned to Athletic Club de Bilbao following his loan at SkyFi Castalia. The club are moving quickly in a summer window shaped by the record sale of Álex Calatrava to Espanyol.
