Celik ‘to sign’ new Roma deal despite Fiorentina and Fenerbahce interest | OneFootball

Corriere dello Sport claims that Zeki Celik has already agreed a new contract with Roma.

The 29-year-old has been a free agent since 30 June, when his previous deal expired, and both Fiorentina and Fenerbahce made late moves to sign him.

Roma’s proposal involves a pay cut to fit the club’s updated financial parameters, mirroring Paulo Dybala signing earlier today.

Celik is expected to earn about €3m a season. Roma have sealed their return to the Champions League.

The Türkiye international joined from Lille in 2022 for €7.4m plus a 15 per cent sell-on clause, and has made 151 competitive appearances, scoring two goals with 10 assists.
