Celtic manager Martin O’Neill is a keen admirer of Motherwell striker Tawanda Maswanhise, according to Sky Sports.
Celtic could look to bring another striker to Parkhead this summer having not made a decision on the future of Kelechi Iheanacho despite his heroics for the Bhoys in the Scottish Premiership last term.
The Hoops have yet to make any move for Maswanhise, but the Motherwell star is attracting interest from clubs around Europe.
Anderlecht are long-term admirers of the Zimbabwean international and they continue to monitor him.
However, remaining in Scotland, joining Celtic and winning the league title could appeal to Maswanhise.
The 23-year-old has proven himself in the Premiership and joining the Hoops could be beneficial to both parties.
Celtic need such a player as they look to retain the title and win both the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup next term.
He could also be of use in the Champions League but it remains to be seen if they have plans to make any concrete approach.
The Bhoys have plans to strengthen in the middle of the park and are reportedly keeping tabs on Torino midfielder Gvidas Gineitis as a potential replacement for Arne Engels.
They have been running the rule over the Lithuanian international of recent but may have to offer a juicy bid to tempt the Serie A club into doing a deal.
O’Neill will hope he can get quality players capable of improving his squad this summer, and signing a top striker could be of huge help to the team.
