Celtic are monitoring FC Nantes’ highly-rated winger Herba Guirassy, with Leeds United also interested. The Scottish Champions have been credited as being interested in the attacker as planning continues for the summer transfer window.
As reported by La Republicain Sportif, Celtic are interested in the breakthrough Ligue 1 starlet.
The 18-year-old Guinean, known for his technical ability and attacking flair, is under contract until 2028, but Nantes could consider a sale for around €10 million.
Celtic see Guirassy as a promising addition on the left flank, offering long-term potential. While discussions remain at an early stage, the Hoops are assessing whether to make a move for the talented youngster as part of their summer recruitment plans. Celtic will sign Kieran Tierney in the summer as the left back makes a sensational return to the club. Brendan Rodgers will want to get a first team striking option in to compete with Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah. Another first team option would allow Maeda to play on the left, as well.
Guirassy has made 17 appearances for FC Nantes across all competitions, scoring three goals. He made his professional debut on August 18, 2024, in a Ligue 1 match against Toulouse. His first goal came on August 25, 2024, in a 2-0 victory over Auxerre, making him the second-youngest scorer in the club’s history at 17 years and 362 days.
