Celtic will discover their Premier Sports Cup Last 16 opponents on Sunday as the League Cup Group Stages comes to an end. Brendan Rodgers’ side picked up the trophy after an enthralling final against Rangers in December. Celtic won the game on penalties after neither the 90 minutes nor extra time could separate the sides.
The draw will take place on Sunday 27th July after the conclusion of Ayr United’s game with St Mirren. The game in Paisley kicks off at 3pm (Celtic Park Time) so expect the draw to take place after 4:45pm.

The draw will be shown live on Premier Sports after the game.
Celtic enter the competition alongside Hibernian, Aberdeen, Dundee United and last season’s defeated finalists Rangers. The Scottish Champions will join Premiership sides Hearts, Motherwell, Falkirk and Kilmarnock while Championship sides St Johnstone and Partick Thistle have secured their place. Surprisingly, Alloa Athletic have secured their place in the next phase of the competition.
Morton and newly promoted Livingston have qualified as best runners up, which means that Neil Lennon’s Dunfermline are unlikely to make the latter stages of the Premier Sports Cup unless Ayr United beat St Mirren. Ayr are essentially there but St Mirren need to win or take a bonus point from penalties after a draw to secure passage to the next round.
Ties will be played on the weekend 16/17th August. Celtic will be seeded for the game.
