Cenk Ozcakar returns to Paterna but will not travel to Girona with squad | OneFootball

Cenk Ozcakar will report back to Paterna tomorrow after extra time off to sort his future, but he will not travel with the squad to Girona on Monday for the first pre-season camp, as Corberán does not plan to use him. According to AS, he must now attend his place of work while his situation remains unresolved.

The centre-back will train in Paterna with a fitness coach while he looks for his next club with his agent. He believes his time at Valencia is over.

He returns for a second straight summer following loan spells at Valladolid and Cologne.

Ozcakar arrived in summer 2022 from Olympique Lyon on loan with a five million purchase option. Valencia exercised that option in 2023, signing him to a five-year deal through 2028. He has only played one further season in Valencia colours.

After those two loans, the intention is to part company and both sides are open to resolving matters quickly. For now he will continue working away from the main group in Paterna.
