César Tárrega on holiday in the United States as World Cup starts | OneFootball

According to Superdeporte, Valencia centre-back César Tárrega has shared holiday photos from the United States just hours before the 2026 World Cup opens at Estadio Azteca.

He has chosen to spend his time off there with his fiancée. His social media shows he was in New York three days ago, where the NBA Finals are currently taking place.

Today he posted from Los Angeles, at Venice Beach, home to the famed Gold's Gym where Arnold Schwarzenegger trains, a recognised sporting hotspot.

On Friday one of the hosts, the United States, open their campaign against Paraguay in Los Angeles. It remains to be seen whether Tárrega takes in a World Cup match at the stadium or continues his trip with his partner.

The defender has a full summer break after reporting back later last season due to the Under-21 European Championship, in which he started for Spain. He aims to recapture his best form and will work at Paterna from day one under Corberán.
