Ceuta await Castellón with safety sealed after Sporting win | OneFootball

Agrupación Deportiva Ceuta have secured LaLiga Hypermotion safety and will host CD Castellón on Saturday at 14.00.

They sealed it with a 2-1 win at El Molinón over Sporting de Gijón, taking their record to 15 wins, 9 draws and 14 defeats, with 46 goals scored and 58 conceded.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, this is their first season in the division since 1980/81, 46 years on.

José Juan Romero’s side ended a run of four draws, against Burgos, Real Sociedad B, Zaragoza and Racing de Santander, and one defeat to Eibar. They had not won since beating Cádiz 2-1 on 28 March.

The Estadio Alfonso Murube has been pivotal, yielding 11 home wins, 3 draws and four defeats. There, Castellón will chase a victory to move closer to promotion.
