CF Montréal acquire Dante Sealy from Colorado Rapids | OneFootball

CF Montréal have acquired winger Dante Sealy from the Colorado Rapids, the clubs announced Tuesday.

In exchange for the 23-year-old Trinidad & Tobago international, Colorado receive $1.4 million in guaranteed General Allocation Money (GAM) divided between 2026 ($400,000) and 2027 ($1 million), plus $300,000 in conditional GAM.

Dante is familiar with our working environment, our culture, and many members of our group, which will make his integration seamless and allow him to contribute quickly to our objectives.

Sealy had five assists in 20 regular-season appearances this year for the Rapids, who acquired him in December from Montréal following a career-best 2025 campaign (9g/2a in 30 matches). 

Sealy also featured for FC Dallas from 2020-24, netting 2g/1a in 38 MLS appearances.

Internationally, Sealy has four goals in 11 matches for Trinidad & Tobago. 

“We want to thank Dante for his time with the club and wish him the best going forward in his career,” said Rapids president Pádraig Smith. 

Sealy is Montréal's second offensive summer signing, following the arrival of Designated Player Alexis Sánchez. MTL are 14th in the Eastern Conference with 21 points. 

Colorado sit seventh in the Western Conference with 28 points, good for an Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs spot.
