Chalobah hope for Inter depends on Chelsea fee | OneFootball

Trevoh Chalobah has reportedly given the all-clear to join Inter, who must now work out a fee with Chelsea, but can strike Nathan Ake off their list after the Manchester City defender signed for Fenerbahce.

The Gazzetta dello Sport had today suggested that Ake could be an alternative for central defence if the other options failed to go through.

That is now out of the question, as Fenerbahce formally announced that the Netherlands international had signed for them, with Manchester City selling for £7m plus £1.5m in add-ons.

Inter’s focus was nonetheless already on Chalobah, as his agents flew in for talks with the Champions of Italy.

With that in mind, the Nerazzurri hope to secure a deal, even after Chelsea turned down a reported offer worth €25m for the player.

Transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano claims the player has given the all-clear to join Cristian Chivu’s side.

The other candidates for Inter are also falling away rapidly, as Tarik Muharemovic of Sassuolo is heading to Juventus, while Lazio’s Mario Gila has agreed terms with Milan.
