Liverpool are in crisis and left Mohamed Salah behind after his angry comments when he accused Arne Slot of throwing him “under the bus.”

Italy international Federico Chiesa hasn’t made the trip either due to a stomach bug, with Cody Gakpo ruled out for a few weeks too.

Wataru Endo, Giovanni Leoni and Jeremie Frimpong are long-term absentees.

Alexis Mac Allister therefore partners Ryan Gravenberch in midfield, with massive signing Isak supported by Ekitike and Dominik Szoboszlai.

However, Florian Wirz and Conor Bradley are both left on the bench.

Liverpool drew their last two Premier League games against Sunderland and Leeds United, while their Champions League record is three wins and two defeats, losing 1-0 at Galatasaray and 4-1 at home to PSV Eindhoven.
