UEFA has made its decision regarding the referee who will officiate the blockbuster Barça vs PSG Champions League clash on Wednesday night.

As part of the second matchday of the Champions League group stage, PSG will travel to face FC Barcelona next Wednesday. This high-stakes showdown pits two contenders for the title, both eager to build on their opening victories in the competition.

The match will be refereed by the experienced Michael Oliver. The Englishman notably officiated the second leg of the Champions League playoff between PSG and Stade Brestois (2-0), as well as Paris' away win over FC Salzburg (0-3) during last season's group stage. Meanwhile, Australian Jarred Gillett will be in charge of VAR operations.
