CHAN 2024: Madagascar knocks out Sudan and storms into the final

Down to ten men, Madagascar pulled off a stunning upset by defeating Sudan 1-0 after extra time to reach their very first CHAN final.

Despite Gillespie Fenohasina being sent off in the second half (77th minute), the Malagasy side held firm, clinging to their advantage until the final whistle. The decisive goal came from Toky Rakotondraibe, who found the net with just four minutes left in extra time, sending his nation to Kasarani Stadium for Saturday's final.

This victory is historic for Madagascar, who knocked out tournament favorites Sudan despite being a man down and firmly established themselves as the breakthrough team of the tournament.
