Graham Potter has one eye firmly on this summer transfer window as we face Manchester United today at Old Trafford.
It’s been a season to forget in east London, with fans hoping an overhaul of the squad in the upcoming window will point to a much brighter future, in contrast to how the season has unfolded.
Although we face the Red Devils in the Premier League today, with nothing but pride and league positions to play for, it’s seen as a match in which Potter will take as an opportunity to view certain players.
The club announced this week that Aaron Cresswell, Danny Ings, Lucasz Fabianski and Vladimir Coufal are to leave once their contracts expire at the end of the season.
This is likely to see Potter use the remaining games wisely as he continues to assess the squad ahead of a summer which is set to see around 12 players depart.
Lucasz Paqueta though is a question mark today ahead of the conclusion of his FA betting hearing, which has understandably taken its toll mentally on the Brazil star.
Luis Guilherme is a player many will hope will be given a chance to impress later today, with pressure on Potter to grab a victory after 9 matches without doing so.
