Chapecoense host Flamengo in the Brasileirão at Arena Condá on Thursday, 23 July 2026, with the visitors chasing the top two and the hosts fighting to climb out of the relegation places.
Chapecoense face Flamengo with the visitors second on 34 points and the hosts 20th on nine. The head to head has largely favoured the visitors with eight wins from 11, though the last meeting here in 2021 ended 2-2.
Chape arrive on a four game league losing run, with only a recent cup win offering respite. Fla are unbeaten in five across all competitions, winning four of those, including a 3-0 league victory over Coritiba.
Injuries continue to bite for Chape, who list Rafael Carvalheira, Garcez de Jesus and Robert among several absentees. For the visitors, Jorge Andrés Carrascal Guado is suspended, while Luiz Araújo, Lucas Paquetá, Léo Ortiz and Daniel Sales are sidelined.
Mengão's attack looks well set to test a defence that has conceded 35 goals at 1.9 per game. Pedro is second in the league scoring chart with 10 and Samuel Lino has six assists, while the visitors have scored 31 times in 17 league matches. Chape, who average 0.9 goals per game and have one clean sheet, could look to their crossing game, with a 23.60% open play cross accuracy and five headed goals, to unsettle the visitors.
Verdão do Oeste would move to 12 points with a win and could cut the distance to safety. Fla would rise to 37 points and further strengthen their title push from the Copa Libertadores places.
