Charles De Ketelaere equaliser ends Spain’s clean-sheet run in quarter-final | OneFootball

Spain’s perfect defensive record at this World Cup was finally broken as Charles De Ketelaere levelled for Belgium, sending their quarter-final in at 1-1 at half-time on Friday.

Paris midfielder Fabian Ruiz had put Spain ahead just after the half-hour.

De Ketelaere struck in the 41st minute, arriving at the near post to glance in Timothy Castagne’s cross.

In the group stage, the European champions drew 0-0 with Cape Verde, then beat Saudi Arabia 4-0 and Uruguay 1-0.

They followed that with a 3-0 win over Austria in the round of 32 and a 1-0 victory against Portugal in the last 16.
