Chelsea accelerate interest in Maxence Lacroix | OneFootball

Following the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup, Chelsea are ready to accelerate their interest in Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix (26), according to a report from BBC Sport. The Premier League club are hoping to bolster their defensive options during the summer transfer window. 

Lacroix has been away on international duty for most of the summer representing France during the FIFA World Cup.  The former Wolfsburg defender made three appearances for his country at the competition as they exited at the semi-final stage.

Negotiations for the French centre back are being handled at board level with a new round of discussions currently underway. Palace have informed Chelsea that they are unwilling to sell the centre back for any less than £60m during the window.
