This reignites the debate over transparency in agent-related transactions within English football.
Chelsea FC
The English Football Association (FA) has announced that Chelsea FC stands accused of a significant number of breaches related to its rules on agents and intermediaries.
According to the FA, the London club allegedly committed 74 violations linked to agents, intermediaries, and third-party investments. These infractions are said to have occurred between 2009 and 2022, with the majority taking place from the 2010/2011 to the 2015/2016 seasons—during the Roman Abramovich era.
Chelsea, renowned for its major spending in the transfer market, enjoyed tremendous success under Abramovich and has continued to be highly active following its acquisition by BlueCo in May 2022. The club now has until September 19, 2025, to respond to the charges and present its defense to the FA.
