Chelsea and Bayern Munich have agreed new terms on a deal for Nicolas Jackson.

The Senegal striker had been set to join Bayern on loan over the weekend, but Chelsea blocked the transfer after Liam Delap sustained a hamstring injury against Fulham.

Chelsea have since recalled Marc Guiu from his loan spell at Sunderland, allowing Jackson to complete his move to the German champions.

However, the terms of the deal have now changed with the two teams reaching an agreement on a mandatory purchase option. The previous purchase clause had been optional.

Bayern will pay an initial loan fee of €16.5m for the 24-year-old, before the transfer is made permanent next summer. The purchase fee is expected to be around €65 million (£56.2m), meaning Chelsea could fetch up to €80 million (£70m) in total.

Jackson and his agent had remained in Germany to conclude the deal, with the player keen to join Bayern after two seasons at Chelsea. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the new arrangement with confirmation expected before Monday’s 7pm deadline.
