The Blues revealed the player’s scheduled departure via a post on their official club website just a short time ago.
The 33-year-old Welsh international has enjoyed two spells with Chelsea between 2012 and 2013 and from 2018 to current date. She has made 214 appearances for the club in all competitions in which she has scored 12 goals. Ingle has won 11 domestic trophies during her time in South West London while she was a UEFA Women’s Champions League runner-up with the club in 2020/2021.
Ingle has been in rehabilitation for several months following an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury which she sustained in pre-season and it has now been revealed that she has played her last game for Chelsea.
After her departure was announced, Ingle said “Chelsea is a special club and since I returned seven years ago, I have felt the support of everyone, both on and off the pitch.
“I’m very proud to have lifted 11 trophies here and am grateful to have done that alongside teammates who are like family to me.
“We have achieved so much together, but couldn’t have done that without the fans, who I want to thank for always being there with us throughout the journey.’”
Chelsea have confirmed that Ingle will remain contracted to the club until she completes her return to fitness this summer.
