In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Chelsea are eager to land Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga this summer. It has been claimed that the Blues are eyeing a move to acquire the services of the French talent later this year.

Camavinga’s Recent Season In Spanish Football

Camavinga put in a run of impressive displays at the heart of Real Madrid’s midfield in the previous campaign and deserves credit for serving as an important member of their squad. The 23-year-old scored two goals and picked up one assist in 43 matches for Los Blancos last season across multiple competitions.

The French sensation is currently among the most talented central midfielders in La Liga. Hence, it is no surprise that the Blues are showing interest in recruiting him in this transfer window.

His current contract at the Madrid club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Chelsea to land him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Should Chelsea Boss Xabi Alonso Move In For Camavinga?

Camavinga is a solid tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is a good passer as well from midfield.

The French talent can also chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team. Camavinga mainly plays as a box-to-box midfielder but can also function as a defensive midfielder or as a left-back if told to do so. However, there are some question marks over whether he would able to make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Blues manage to sign him this off-season.

We can expect Camavinga to bring more quality and depth to Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso’s midfield. He is capable of fighting for a regular first-team spot at the West London club in the coming years.

At 23, Camavinga has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent option for the Blues to consider in this transfer period. However, Alonso has to be patient with his progress before he can get the best out of him at Stamford Bridge.
