In a recent report, Calciomercato mentioned that Chelsea are facing stiff competition for Vasco da Gama winger Rayan. It has been stated that the Blues would have to compete with Brighton and Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur in pursuit of the Brazilian wide player.
Rayan came through the youth ranks of Vasco da Gama before establishing himself as an important member of their first team. The 19-year-old has already made 84 senior appearances for the Brazilian club so far, scoring 15 goals and grabbing a couple of assists in various competitions.
The talented teenager is currently among the best young wingers in Brazilian football. Thus, it is no surprise that the Blues are among the clubs hoping to lure him to England.
Rayan is under contract at Vasco da Gama until the end of next year, which could open the door for Chelsea to sign him on the cheap this January or next summer.

Rayan excels at finding some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has also got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates on the offensive end of the field.
The Brazilian sensation is a decent dribbler with the ball as well and can even chip in by scoring a few important goals for his team. Rayan is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a striker or as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can adapt to the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League.
Still, the pros outweigh the cons of recruiting a winger of Rayan’s potential. He is already good enough to serve as a good rotational piece in Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca’s match-day squad.
At 19, Rayan has got the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Maresca would be wise to try everything in his power to snap him up next year.
