Chelsea consider €30m deal for Juventus defender Cambiaso | OneFootball

Chelsea are considering a move to sign Andrea Cambiaso from Juventus after the Italian side missed out on Champions League qualification.

Juventus are planning sales this summer after a sixth-place finish in Serie A in 2025/26. The club’s sporting director, Damien Comolli, admitted earlier this month that the financial impact of their Champions League absence would likely lead to exits.

Chelsea are among the clubs keep to capitalise with Cambiaso a reported target. According to Calciomercato, the West Londoners are rivalling Barcelona for the Italian full-back, who is seen as an ideal option for Xabi Alonso’s wing-back system.

Chelsea believe a deal can be done for as little as €30m (£26m), despite the 26-year-old being valued at around €65m during negotiations with Manchester City in January 2025. Cambiaso can operate on either flank and in midfield, a versatility which boosts his appeal.

He is viewed as one of Juventus’s most saleable assets to balance the books, given the level of interest and €15m fee paid to sign him from Genoa in 2022. Como have also been linked, having pipped Juventus to Champions League football.

Should Cambiaso arrive, it could free Marc Cucurella to depart. The Spaniard is open to exploring a return to La Liga, amid interest from Atletico Madrid.
