Chelsea fans have one question over Hato future after his inverted role on Saturday | OneFootball

Jorrel Hato was given the man of the match award on Saturday for his performance against Charlton, and it was easy to see why.

He scored a banger to open the floodgates, and on the London is Blue podcast today they discussed his performance.

“Great goal from Jorrel, he was good at Craven Cottage, so he deserved a start today,” presenter Dan Dormer pointed out.

“Hato was the official man of the match today. You had to give him the award for the goal [alone]. Regardless of whether you agree with the rest of his performance. It was a great goal, it deserved to be the recognised moment in that decision,” Dormer continued.

“Really good in terms of creating space, creating opportunity and bringing the ball back inside.

“Almost like where the ten would play, centrally in the attack. Really nice to see that adaptive flexibility from the wing backs and the full backs, and the opportunities that they’re getting here.”

The Dutchman’s role in possession as an attacking midfielder was very notable, and we’re curious if we’ll see Marc Cucurella do the same thing on Wednesday.
