Despite success on the incoming front, Manchester United also need to get a move on when it comes to outgoings.

Only Marcus Rashford has departed the club so far this summer, that too only on an initial loan. The likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Jadon Sancho are all earmarked for departure.

The Argentine is expected to be INEOS’ biggest sale of the window, owing to his young age and incredible potential, with the entire money set to count as pure profit owing to his homegrown status.

But long-term admirers Chelsea clearly do not think so. As per Talksport, the Blues are trying to lowball United and they currently value the 21-year-old at a mere £30 million.

Chelsea lowballing INEOS

They have opened talks for the Carrington graduate and are willing to leave things until late in the window as they feel they could potentially get an even better deal.

The fact that Ruben Amorim has publicly disowned the player is not helping United’s cause. Also, United’s need for a midfielder and goalkeeper means they will be desperate for sales.

In January, when transfer rumours first emerged, the United co-owners had slapped a £80 million price tag on the Argentina international’s head, but they are currently open to a sale for around £40-50 million.

“Chelsea have opened initial talks to sign Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.

“talkSPORT understands Chelsea value Garnacho at around £30m and have left talks until late in the window, working under the impression the price for the 21-year-old Argentine will drop.

Talks opened

“A loan with a conditional obligation is also not ruled out, although Man United sources insist they want a permanent exit. United have valued Garnacho as high as £60m, especially back in January when both Chelsea and Napoli enquired.

“They are now seeking between £40-50m, but Chelsea may be able to drive that price range down should Benjamin Sesko arrive from Leipzig.”

INEOS have done a great job so far, when it comes to player signings. But Chelsea cannot be allowed to sign Alejandro Garnacho for anything less than £50 million.

He is 21, a full Argentina international and Premier League-proven. If Anthony Elanga, another Carrington graduate, fetches £55 million, there is no way Garnacho should be sold for less.
