In a recent report, The Independent claimed that Chelsea have set their sights on West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen. It has been revealed that the Blues are eyeing a move to land the English wide player this off-season.
Bowen endured a tough campaign with the Hammers as he failed to help them avoid relegation from the Premier League. The 29-year-old managed to catch the eye at times for West Ham on the right wing after scoring 11 goals and securing 12 assists in 42 matches for the East London club last season across all fronts.
The English sensation is currently one of the most respected wingers in English football. Thus, the Blues would do well to get a deal over the line for him this summer.
Bowen’s current contract at the London Stadium will expire in the summer of 2030. Hence, Chelsea would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about signing him later this year.

Bowen has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create some decent chances for his teammates to find the back of the net and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The English wing wizard can chip in by scoring and creating a lot of important goals for his team. Bowen is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also operate as a striker down the middle if required. He already knows the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Chelsea if they manage to sign him this summer.
We can expect Bowen to bring more pace and goals to Xabi Alonso’s attack. He has what it takes to compete for a regular first-team place at the London club in the coming seasons.
At 29, Bowen is playing in his prime and is well-equipped to make an instant impact at Stamford Bridge. Therefore, Alonso would be wise to go for him in this summer transfer window as long as he can get him for a reasonable fee.
