Chelsea have reportedly identified another former Manchester City player to come in and bolster their attack.

Things have mainly been pretty quiet around transfer lately even though we are now getting very close to the January transfer window opening up.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea set to make contact to sign Manchester United star in the January window!!

However, there is always going to be things bubbling up and transfer rumours coming out, it’s just whether they are legit stories or now is the question.

But before we get onto all that, let’s round up the news from this morning so far.

Jamie Gittens looks to be OK despite limping off for England U21s on Friday night. He will travel for their next game later this week, which would suggest he will be just fine and is not injured.

Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has been raving about Estevao Willian after he scored for Brazil yesterday in their 2-0 win against Senegal. Carlo called Estevao a ‘magic’ player, and he’s certainly not wrong there at all.

Silly season is always here

People label transfer windows as ‘silly season’ but in all honesty, silly season is always upon us.

So, what is the latest Chelsea transfer rumour?

Chelsea have apparently positioned themselves firmly in the race for Atlético Madrid star and Barcelona transfer target Julián Alvarez.

As per a report from Fichajes, Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea are mulling over a massive €150 million bid to bring the World Cup winner back to England.

Nope, not happening

Again, as with this source, take this news with a massive pinch of salt. Chelsea aren’t paying that much for a single player, it just wont happen anymore.

It could only happen if it was some sort of swap deal, or if Chelsea sold a single player for a similar amount to make the money balance.

I just can’t see it, sorry.
