Aston Villa are targeting a move for Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho.

Garnacho has been told he can leave Chelsea this summer, with Villa keen on a loan move for the Argentine.

But Chelsea would prefer a permanent move for the 22-year-old, who is valued at around £40m.

Selling Garnacho would bolster the Blues’ transfer kitty as boss Xabi Alonso looks to add more new signings before the start of the season.

They are closing in on the signing of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for a club record £117m fee, and also want to reinforce their defensive options.

Villa are also monitoring Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, who could depart following his loan spell at Bayern Munich last season.

Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix is a target, though Palace are said to want at least £55m for the Frenchman.

The Athletic are also reporting that John Stones has been added to the club’s list of potential targets.

The 32-year-old is available on a free transfer after leaving Manchester City, with Chelsea keen to add more experience to their squad. Arsenal are also reportedly weighing up a move for the England defender, however.

Meanwhile, Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile are likely to move on this summer, while Trevoh Chalobah also has interest from Como in Italy.
