Chelsea FC've entered official negotiations to sign Ajax defender Jorrel Hato , a top target also on Liverpool’s radar ahead of the 2025 /26 Premier League season according to report by talkSPORT.

Versatility at the Back

Under new head coach Enzo Maresca Chelsea are eager to reinforce their backline with player capable of operating as both centre back and left back , 2 key roles in the Italian tactician’s system.

Hato fits the profile perfectly especially with Ben Chilwell & Renato Veiga both expected to leave the club this summer.

Chelsea are reportedly preparing 40 million sterling pound bid but Ajax have set firm asking price of 60 million sterling pound for the Netherlands international whose current contract runs until summer 2028. The deal doesn't include release clause.
