Chelsea have just released their accounts for the year ending June 2025 on their official website.
There are some interesting things to note – Chelsea’s revenue rose to £490.9m, which is the second highest they’ve ever managed. That’s despite them not having played Champions League football. The Club World Cup must have played a major part in that.
The club also made major sales which boosted their revenue. The balance of incoming and outgoing transfers in the year leading up to June was £57.9m profit, helping the Blues keep within the bounds of their settlement agreement with UEFA.
It will be very interesting to see what happens now – we’ve had a year in the Champions League, but will still want to reduce the total losses, which were £262.4m before tax according to these results. We shouldn’t expect a lavish summer.
Two additions which will be included in those accounts are those of Emmanuel Emegha and Geovany Quenda, both of whom were signed last year with a view to arriving this summer.
Another talent we’re looking to line up for the summer plays for Bayern Munich currently, but has strongly been linked with potential moves to both Chelsea and Manchester City as he looks for more first team action in the years to come.
