Premier League side Chelsea are progressing to sign Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan this summer.

According to a report by Daniele Longo, Chelsea are ready to put €25 million as transfer fees on the table to take Mike Maignan to the Club World Cup. Milan have decided to part ways with their first-choice goalkeeper after stalling his contract renewal talks and the club is aware of the interest from The Blues.

The Rossoneri want at least €30 million from Maignan’s sale and the gap could be bridged quickly due to the good relationship between the two clubs.

Chelsea have six more days to close the deal as the transfer window for the Club World Cup closes on June 10. All is set for Maigan’s next destination, which is set to be in the Premier League.

The Frenchman would have wanted to stay at Milan but his contract was not renewed despite reaching a verbal agreement with the Rossoneri management in December last year.
