Chelsea are looking at another midfield signing, according to a report from TeamTalk today.
The Blues have joined other major Premier League clubs including Man U and Tottenham in the race for Yehor Yarmolyuk, the Brentford midfielder.
The departure of Christian Norgaard and a few other first team regulars in the summer opened the door for him to become a key player, and he’s played a part in all 9 Bees games in all competitions this season.
Still just 21, he’s been at Brentford since 2022, gradually settling in to the first team picture. Now a full Ukraine international regular as well as a respected midfield operator in the Premier League, it’s no surprise that bigger clubs are starting to take notice.

“We can now reveal that Chelsea are the latest team to make checks on Yarmolyuk,” TeamTalk write.
“Yarmolyuk, 21, is turning heads with his consistent performances for the Bees this season. And it is starting to look like a big move could be on the cards in 2026 if he continues to impress.
“Brentford are not encouraging interest in the player, but scouts are believed to be making more regular checks on him this season.”
We can see Yarmolyuk coming in in a sort of Lesley Ugochukwu / Mathis Amougou role. We’d be looking to buy him, loan him or play him a bit, then sell him for a profit.
The problem with that is that Brentford are going to ask big money for him, making a profitable resale hard, or impossible.
That’s why we’re doubting how likely this is right now – unless we get a crazy discount on him, it’s hard to make the numbers work.
