Parisians boast three-goal lead as they visit Stamford Bridge
Ousmane Dembele has urged Paris Saint-Germain not to sit back at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, insisting their “mentality is to win” against Chelsea for the second time in a week.
Chelsea face an almighty challenge to reach the Champions League quarter-finals at PSG’s expense as they trail the French champions 5-2 on aggregate following last Wednesday’s heavy defeat at the Parc des Princes.
Dembele, winner of last year’s Ballon d’Or, was on the scoresheet in Paris and is hopeful PSG are once again on the front foot when they arrive in west London for their second leg.
PSG are the reigning champions, having won their first European crown last year with a 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan in the final in Munich’s Allianz Arena.
“Our mentality is to win,” Dembele said at Stamford Bridge on Monday. “We cannot just remain defensive. We need to win.

“We need to remain extremely focused. Chelsea is a high-quality team. They have won many matches in Europe and remain focused.
“Our focus will not change. We may suffer a little bit. But last season we won the Champions League and also had difficult moments and this is when we need to remain focused. We need confidence and a lot of it when we play at this level.”
The tie’s winner will face either Galatasaray or Liverpool in the last eight.
PSG have not played since their 5-2 win over Chelsea in the first leg after Ligue 1 postponed their league game against Nantes so they could remain fit and focused for both legs.
The 28-year-old French international said: “We’ve had a little rest and whether we played last weekend [or not] was not going to change our preparation.”
Luis Enrique, the PSG head coach, said his team are trying to be focused on “the important things” ahead of the second leg.
“And on details,” he added. “Focusing on details is always important when you play teams on the same level as you.”
