Chelsea reportedly rejected a lucrative offer from a Premier League side for one of their players this summer.

This is one of the transfer stories that has surfaced quite late in the window, mainly due to Saudi interest coming in for this player and their window being open until the 23rd of September so expect plenty more rumours going around on this.

EXCLUSIVE! Interview with Chelsea cult hero Ramires!

And there was plenty of other stories going on around Chelsea late in the window, in particular the story involving Nicolas Jackson’s loan move to Bayern Munich almost collapsing because Chelsea were looking to bring him in to replace the injured Liam Delap.

In the end he got his move that comes with an obligation for Bayern to sign him next summer. But a Bayern board member claimed yesterday that for the obligation to kick in, Jackson must start 40 games for them this season, which of course is basically going to be impossible!

Jackson’s mouthy rep has snapped back at those claims made by the board member and all but said that it is fake news, although he didn’t use those exact words.

It was Andrey Santos though who was involved in some other dramatic transfer rumours.

Andrey Santos against Es Tunis

As reported by The Mirror, West Ham United saw an approach for Andrey Santos worth up to £45 million knocked back in August. The message from Chelsea has been consistent all summer in that Santos was not available for transfer.

I think he stays now

I don’t think Santos will go to Saudi now and believe he will stay at Chelsea until at least January when the winter window opens and clubs can trade again. But let’s see what happens.
