Chelsea have placed a £25 million asking price on striker Marc Guiu ahead of a potential summer exit, according to the BBC.

The Spanish forward is one of several players on the chopping block as the Chelsea rebuild under new manager Xabi Alonso takes shape.

Uncertainty about Guiu’s future comes at a time when Chelsea are working on a number of attacking arrivals and departures.

Nicolas Jackson has been heavily linked with a possible exit, while Chelsea are one step away from finalising a move for Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers.

Chelsea have already agreed a record-breaking £117m for the England international, who has reportedly signed a six-year contract.

With Joao Pedro and Emanuel Emegha also expected to feature prominently in Chelsea’s plans under Alonso, opportunities for some of the club’s younger forwards may become even more limited.

Guiu joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2024 for around £5m after making a name for himself in the Spanish club’s academy.

He has shown flashes of promise in Chelsea colours, but the club haven’t given him enough first-team minutes to reach his full potential.

The 20-year-old ‘fantastic‘ talent has made 29 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing two assists.

However, only a small portion of those minutes have come in the Premier League.

Across the past two seasons, he has played just 336 league minutes, including only one brief appearance during the second half of last season.

Chelsea are reportedly using Brighton & Hove Albion’s transfer of teenage striker Charalampos Kostoulas for just under £30m as a guide when valuing Guiu.

Club officials believe that his age and potential justify a similar price, even though he has not yet established himself as a regular at senior level.

Chelsea are also open to loan offers if no club is willing to meet their asking price.

With three years still remaining on his contract, a loan move could be what Guiu needs to hone his skills and take his game to the next level.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are working on a new contract for academy talent Shumaira Mheuka, who is set to leave the club on loan this summer.
