Chelsea have now apparently set a ridiculously large asking price for a forgotten player that they need to sell this window.
I just don’t understand it. This guy has not played for Chelsea in years, barely played any football at all anyway because he’s been injured a lot, and we desperately need to move him on. Yet we are still asking way too much for him and he will not sell for that amount.
I am talking about striker Armando Broja, who is part of a transfer update report by The Athletic today.
More on that further below but there are plenty of other situations and stories brewing up for Chelsea this week as we enter the final five weeks of the summer transfer window.
There is apparently movement on Nicolas Jackson to either Newcastle United or Manchester United this window, according to a report from this morning.
But there has also just been another report out this lunchtime suggesting that actually Jackson could end up going to Juventus this window because they are interested in him and would get him for a cut-price fee as they aren’t a Premier League rival to The Blues.

Broja was and still is a very talented player and he could have become very good already if it wasn’t for injury set back after injury set back.
But you’d be a very brave club to invest him in now really with his history and a slim chance of really making it at the top level anymore.
But even still, according to the report mentioned above, Chelsea are demanding a fee of £25m for Broja this window, and that is FAR too much.
