Chelsea set to sign defender and target new winger signing – latest transfer reports | OneFootball

Maxence Lacroix is set for a medical at Chelsea after they agreed a deal to sign the Crystal Palace defender.

That is according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, with 26-year-old centre-back closing in on completing his move to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are also reported to be leading the race for highly-rated Bosnia & Herzegovina teenager Kerim Alajbegovic. According to The Telegraph, the 18-year-old winger is expected to choose Stamford Bridge over a number of rival clubs.

Chelsea’s recruitment drive is not stopping there. The Athletic also report they have agreed a deal to sign 15-year-old American winger Benji Flowers from FC Dallas, although the youngster will not officially join until he turns 18.

One of the more eye-catching stories of the day comes from Spain, where The Sun, citing reports in Madrid, claims Real Madrid are prepared to sell midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni to Manchester United in order to help finance a blockbuster move for Manchester City midfielder Rodri.

The report suggests Madrid remain determined to prise the Ballon d’Or winner away from the Premier League champions and believe raising funds through Tchouameni’s departure could make such a move possible.

Manchester United are also continuing their search for midfield reinforcements. According to Sky Sports, both Roma midfielder Manu Kone and Brighton star Carlos Baleba are under consideration, while The Daily Mail add that Bournemouth and United States international Tyler Adams, valued at around £35 million, is another option for Michael Carrick’s side.

The Guardian also say Eduardo Camavinga and Sander Berge are among their targets too.

Elsewhere, Arsenal’s defensive plans have become clearer following the news of William Saliba’s lengthy injury absence.

BBC Sport say Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa remains Arsenal’s top defensive target, while the report adds that the Gunners are also expected to test Newcastle’s resolve with a bid worth around £70 million for midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
