Chelsea reportedly believe they can get as much as £60m for Nicolas Jackson this summer despite his failed spell on loan at Bayern Munich.
The Blues will surely look to offload Jackson after his lack of impact at Stamford Bridge, with the Senegal international managing only 30 goals in 81 games before 10 goals in 30 games on loan at Bayern this season.
It’s hard to see there being a big queue of clubs for Jackson this summer, but it seems Chelsea remain confident they could bank as much as £60m from selling him this summer, according to the Athletic.
Jackson has shown some potential on occasion, but after failing to impress at Bayern he will surely struggle to get a move to another truly elite club playing in the Champions League and competing for major honours.
Jackson has recently been linked with a move to Serie A, which could make sense for the 24-year-old at this stage of his career.
See below as Florian Plettenberg has linked Jackson with both Juventus and AC Milan in a recent post on X…
It’s important to note that Plettenberg says Jackson would likely be a loan target for these clubs, so that might be a more realistic idea of what Chelsea can expect this summer.
£60m certainly seems like a lot to be paying for Jackson after his recent struggles, even if he could prove a good signing for clubs playing at a slightly lower level.
Moving to Italy could be ideal as Jackson might benefit from the slower pace of the game in Serie A, but overall he’s surely going to end up at a club that would likely struggle to afford a price tag as high as £60m.
CFC will obviously want a decent fee for the player, but they’ll also have to be realistic or they might struggle to get much interest in him at all.
