Chelsea are exploring a summer move for Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović, with talks expected to begin in the coming weeks, Bild claims.

A breakthrough is viewed as unlikely, with Bayern not thought to be willing to sell.

Chelsea already have Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Andrey Santos and Enzo Fernandez, yet they are still seeking to add another holding midfielder.

Manchester City are also believed to be monitoring the 21-year-old under Vincent Kompany.

With Leon Goretzka leaving this summer, Pavlović appears set to become a key part of Bayern’s midfield alongside Joshua Kimmich.

Earlier this week, Pavlović said he could easily see himself representing the German record champions for the rest of his career.
