Speaking to TNT Sport ahead of today’s FA Cup semi final, there was one subject Calum McFarlane was focused on: getting the best out of Cole Palmer, who has been struggling for consistent form for more than a year now.

“Cole’s a top talent, Cole can decide games at the highest level. He’s already done that in his very short career. He’s super talented, it’s about getting Cole in the right position, and giving him the right amount of quality so that he can decide games of football, whether that be with his finishing or his final pass or his creativity, whatever that may be.

“If you get those players, if you get Enzo Fernandez, Pedro Neto, Joao Pedro, in the right position, they can win games of football for you.”
