A report from TeamTalk today has put forward Chelsea’s stance on Cole Palmer: despite interest from Manchester United in the attacker, he’s not for sale.

The rumours about Palmer being unhappy have increased as Chelsea’s season has fallen apart, and his boyhood fandom of the Red Devils mean they’re always painted as his most likely destination.

Palmer could still push for Chelsea move and Blues would be tempted

The reality is that Chelsea were always going to brief that Palmer isn’t for sale, regardless of the reality. If he really pushes to leave, and if a big offer for him comes in, there’s no way the club could rule out selling him.

Despite his struggles this season, Palmer has been the Blues’ talisman since arriving from Manchester City, and losing him would be seen as another massive blow to foundations of this “project” which are already shaky.

The fact that we paid around £40m for Palmer and could get more than double that as a fee will also have our accountants licking their lips.

Kaveh Solhekol went on Sky Sports to talk about Marc Cucurella’s recent comments, and the journalist predicting a change in strategy from the Blues.

Solhekol also spoke about the players’ reaction to Rosenior, pointing out that they didn’t really look like they backed the move.
