Chery converts two penalties as Zwolle undone by late Schuurs header | OneFootball

NEC Nijmegen beat PEC Zwolle 3-1 in Zwolle to climb from 10th to 6th, with Tjaronn Chery's early double from the spot and Perr Schuurs' late header settling a stop-start game.

Chery converted from the spot in the fifth minute after he drew a foul. He struck again (23.) from 12 yards after Sherel Floranus was penalised for handball.

Zwolle briefly thought they were back in it when Floranus scored, but VAR overturned the goal (39.). Koen Kostons then pulled one back from the spot in the first minute of first half stoppage time after Dylan Mbayo was fouled.

After the restart, another Zwolle effort was ruled out by VAR (58.), and when Ibrahim Cissoko won a penalty (70.), Kostons hit the bar from the spot (72.).

Substitute Perr Schuurs made sure of the points with a glancing header (83.), meeting Emre Mor's cross from a corner.

Zwolle saw more of the ball with 52.1% possession and tallied nine attempts. NEC Nijmegen were clinical, producing eight efforts with four on target.
