Kaizer Chiefs were held to a frustrating goalless draw by bottom-placed Chippa United in a Betway Premiership clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday.

Despite finding the sight of Stanley Nwabali in the Chilli Boys' goal on numerous occasions, the Soweto giants couldn't make the net bulge on the night.

As a result, Chiefs dropped to fifth place on the log standings, having accumulated 23 points from 12 league outings.

Amakhosi will wrap up the year with a clash against TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday, ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

For Chippa, the point is a valuable one as they have emerged as early relegation candidates following a string of poor results throughout the season.
