Giorgio Chiellini, the Director of Football Strategy at Juventus, says the Bianconeri are ‘taking things day by day’ after a 2-0 against Fiorentina, which left the Bianconeri two points behind a Champions League spot with just 90 minutes left to play.

Juventus risk missing out on Champions League qualification following a 2-0 loss against Fiorentina on Sunday.

Reports in Italy suggest that club owner John Elkann might decide to change the management for the 2026-27 campaign, including CEO Damien Comolli who has only been at the Allianz Stadium for a year.

Any decision will be made after the final game of the season against city rivals Torino on Sunday.

“Yesterday was definitely a negative day. We take things day by day, and we’re waiting to finish the season,” Chiellini said during an event on Monday, as quoted by TMW.

Ironically, Fiorentina beat the Old Lady on Sunday with ex-Juventus director Fabio Paratici, now a Viola executive, returning to Turin as an opponent for the first time since leaving the club in 2021.

“I was lucky to work with Paratici, so I think they are in good hands for the present and the future,” Chiellini said.

“It’s somebody who can create something important; he has put the team back on track in a tricky season.”

Juventus will need to beat Torino to qualify for the Champions League, but must also hope that Milan, Roma or Como don’t win their games against Cagliari, Verona and Cremonese, respectively.
