Chiesa has four Serie A possibilities after underwhelming Liverpool stint | OneFootball

Federico Chiesa is not expected to be kept on by Liverpool beyond the summer transfer window, and reports in Italy claim that there are four potential destinations for the former Juventus forward in Serie A.

Chiesa joined Liverpool in a €15m deal towards the end of the summer transfer window, Arne Slot’s only new recruit during his first summer in charge, but has not been able to carve out a spot in the starting line-up in any competition.

To date, the former Italy international has just 33 minutes of Premier League action to his name, split across four appearances, three Champions League appearances, three EFL Cup appearances and two in the FA Cup for a total of 395 minutes across 12 appearances in all competitions. Nine of those 12 appearances came off the substitutes’ bench.

Not in Slot’s plans this season, and with things unlikely to change before the start of the 2025-26 campaign, Chiesa is expected to leave Liverpool a year after he was signed.

According to reports in Italy on Easter Sunday, there are a handful of different options that could be available to Chiesa heading into the summer transfer window.

Calciomercato.com claims that he is still of interest to current league leaders Inter, who will look to restructure their attacking department with Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic both expected to leave.

Sunday’s report suggests that Beppe Marotta sees Chiesa as a player in the Correa mold, who could bring a different flavour to the Nerazzurri attack.

Additionally, Chiesa is also liked by Antonio Conte, who has reportedly expressed an interest in bringing him to Napoli. Much still depends on Conte’s future, though, as there are suggestions that the coach could leave the Stadio Maradona amidst links to both Juventus and Milan.

Calciomercato.com suggests that Conte could look to bring Chiesa with him if he were to move to Milan, potentially as a replacement for Samuel Chukwueze, but that would not be the case in the situation that Conte moves to Juventus, who sold Chiesa less than a year ago.

Lastly, Claudio Ranieri’s Roma are reportedly still interested in a potential low-cost deal for Chiesa. The Giallorossi have two key attackers in Matias Soule and Paulo Dybala, whose contracts will both expire in the summer of 2026, which means that they could be on the lookout for long-term replacement, particularly for La Joya.
