Sources with direct knowledge of the matter inform me that the Italian winger will leave Liverpool this summer, as he aims to secure more playing time to return to the Italian national team.

The ex-Juventus and Fiorentina star has already received some proposals from foreign leagues, but still has two options in Serie A: Napoli and Milan.

Two options for Chiesa in Serie A

The Partenopei are working to sign two attacking wingers, and it is no secret that their coach, Antonio Conte, is a long-time admirer of the 27-year-old.

Milan would also be in the race, but whether the Rossoneri attempt to sign him this summer depends on the future of Rafael Leao.

Chiesa hasn’t played for the Italy national team since last summer’s Euros, and new Azzurri boss Gennaro Gattuso said on Thursday that he had spoken to the Liverpool winger, suggesting that he should “find a way to get settled and play consistently.”
