Conmebol has appointed a Chilean officiating team for Corinthians v Peñarol, the third round of the Libertadores group stage. According to Meu Timao, the match will kick off at 21:00 on Thursday at Neo Química Arena.
The referee is Cristian Garay, who has handled two Corinthians games. The most recent was in 2025, a 2-1 home defeat to Huracán.
Their first meeting came in 2019 in the Sudamericana, when Corinthians beat Deportivo Lara 2-0 in the competition’s second phase.
Across those two fixtures, Garay booked four Corinthians players, an average of two per match, with no red cards or penalties awarded against the club.
On Thursday he will be assisted by fellow Chileans Claudio Urrutia and Alejandro Molina. Mathias Riquelme is the fourth official and Rodrigo Carvajal will oversee VAR.
On the pitch, Corinthians arrive top of the group with six points after beating Platense and Santa Fe, both 2-0. Peñarol are third with one point.
