Guadalajara is just days away from kicking off the Apertura 2026, and this Saturday wrapped up its preparations with a friendly against Leones Negros, where the Rojiblancos earned a 1-0 victory at Verde Valle. The result left positive impressions for the Sacred Flock and reflected the work carried out over the past few weeks ahead of the start of the new semester.

From the opening half, Guadalajara controlled possession, applied high pressure that disrupted the visitors' buildup, and created several dangerous chances. The breakthrough came in the 25th minute, when Daniel Aguirre arrived in the attacking third to finish off an excellent team move started by Kevin Castañeda and Richard Ledezma, scoring the match's only goal.

After halftime, Leones Negros pushed higher up the field in search of an equalizer. However, Guadalajara remained organized, competed in every duel, and continued to find space in attack.
