San Nicolás, N.L.- Guadalajara started the match strong and even got on the scoreboard first, but defensive lapses cost them as they fell to Tigres this Saturday at Estadio Universitario in the first leg of the Clausura 2026 Quarterfinals. Chivas will need a two-goal win in the second leg, set for Saturday, May 9 at Estadio AKRON, where the team and fans will come together to make La Fortaleza Rojiblanca count.

El Rebaño came out flying and pushed Tigres back into their own half, which helped them open the scoring with a brilliant goal from Ricardo Marín. Even though the Rojiblancos controlled most of the first half, Jesús Angulo showed up to level things with a header off a corner just before the break. In the second half, Tigres relied on quick, explosive counterattacks and added two more goals. And while Guadalajara had a few late chances, they couldn’t narrow the gap on the scoreboard.
